This 9 Patch quilt is totally scrappy.
The red and white 9 patches are very scrappy. There are fabrics
going back to the beginning of my collection as well as newer fabrics.
The 'whites' are shirting type fabrics, but read as white from a distance.
Gave to my brother Tom and his wife for Christmas 2005.
Machine pieced
and machine quilted by Betty Baker (2005).
This quilt top was pieced at a
Quilters Retreat in late 2004. Still waiting for pictures to come
back of the whole quilt (taken on regular camera). This was machine
pieced by Betty, and machine quilted by Rachael Collins, Lindsey Baker,
Jon Baker and Betty Baker. It was a gift for Jon's mother and her
husband for Christmas 2005 - the group quilting giving it special meaning
!
Texas Pride! Found this block of the
month pattern at a quilt show in Oklahoma City in January 2003.
Thought this would be a perfect quilt for my new son-in-law who is from
Texas. Well . . . now that we've moved to Texas, I don't think he is
going to get this! (sorry Robert!)
Machine pieced,
hand-quilted. Just finished the quilting (Nov 2004) and this will be
in the West Houston Quilt Guild show in February 2005.
Christmas 2005- was a surprise gift for Robert! After he
expressed how much he liked it - guilt took over and he got it as a gift!
This is a t-shirt quilt Lindsey
and I put together from her old ZTA (Zeta Tau Alpha) t-shirts.
Rather than the usual setting where each block is cut the same size, some
blocks are smaller and a bit random in size. Used a soft denim for
filler blocks.
This is machine pieced, and custom quilted on my longarm. Quilted in
OSU Orange thread!
Autumn Mist. While on a visit to
my brother in Ohio, the girls all went to the local quilt shop.
Donna picked a quilt she liked and asked for butternut and blues for her
quilt. This was gift for Eric and Donna for Christmas 2004.
Machine pieced and quilted by Betty Baker (May -Dec 2004).
